- Cooking Time: 60 minutes
- Servings: 8
- Preparation Time: 20 minutes
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1 t. ginger
- 1/4 t. cloves
- 1/2 t. salt
- 2 c. pumpkin (16 oz. can)
- 1 c. cream or milk (or evaporated milk)
- Sift dry ingredients, blend with pumpkin. Add eggs and beat until smooth, add cream or milk. Pour into a 9" pie crust. Bake 425 F for 15 minutes. Then 35-45 minutes at 350 F. It is done when you put in a knife and it comes out clean.
NotesThis is the pie that always comes to family holidays. Thanks mom for always being willing to make it. This is such an old recipe, it doesn't use pumpkin pie spice, can use homemade pumpkin and cream from the cow.
