Quick Spaghetti Dinner
1 pound ground beef
1 package hot Italian sausage cut into 1” pieces
1 package sweet Italian sausage cut into 1” pieces
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons basil leaves
2 tablespoons sugar
2 (28-ounce) cans tomato sauce (not puree)
½ can of water (14 ounces)
1 small box spaghetti
1. In a large skillet, brown the hamburger then drain off the fat. Add both sausages, brown well, and then drain off “some” of the fat (depending on amount left).
2. Add the garlic salt, parsley, Italian seasoning, and basil leaves; “fry in” for 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Add the sugar, tomato sauce, and water; simmer on medium-low for 2 to 3 hours (you may need to add more water, but do it after about 1 hour – if later, the water doesn„t blend in well). Add more seasonings if needed
