Rag's Prune Cake
1 c. prunes
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. sugar
1 c. oil
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Place prunes in a small saucepan and cover with water.
Bring prunes to a boil and cook until mashable.
Drain the prunes and mash them with a fork.
In a seperate bowl sift together the flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice.
In a small bowl whisk together sugar, eggs, oil and vanilla
Cominbe flour mixture and egg mixture together adding buttermilk.
Add prunes and stir.
Pour batter into prepared cake panand bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
