RAISIN BREAD

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Shortening
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Raisins

Directions

  • Mix shortening and sugar well in large bowl. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in half the milk. Mix together flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Add half of dry ingredients to egg mixture and mix well. Stir in rest of milk and rest of dry ingredients. Add raisins and mix well.
  • Pour into a well greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
