Raspberry Jam Bars
1 cup butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
1/2 cup raspberry jam
Preheat your oven to 325º.
Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
Add the egg yolks and blend well.
Gradually add the flour and mix throughly.
Fold in the chopped nuts if desired.
Pat half of the dough evenly into a greased 9" square pan.
Top with all of the jam and cover the jam layer with the remaining dough.
Bake for 50 minutes or until light brown.
