INGREDIENTS

- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
DIRECTIONS
Cream shortening and sugars
Add vanilla and egg
Sift flour, soda and salt
Add to shortening mixture
Add oatmeal and nuts
Mix well
Form into rolls, store in refrigerator until needed
Slice and bake in 375 oven fo 10-12 minutes
