3 cups sugar
4 cups vinegar
1/3 cup salt
1 1/3 tsp tumeric
1 1/3 tsp celery seed
1 1/3 tsp mustard seed
2 large onions sliced
3 sterilized quart jars
Mix sugar, vinegar, and spices together cold.
Slice onions and evenly put in jars.
Fill jars with cucumbers sliced thin.
Stir syrup well, pour into jars.
Put on lids and refrigerator at least 5 days before using.
May be kept for one year in refrigerator.
