Why I Love This Recipe
(From a recipe exchange when I was a young housewife.) My family loves rhubarb. This dessert is great with whipped cream, ice cream, or a drizzle of Half & Half.
Ingredients You'll Need
4 cups rhubarb, cut up
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/3 - 2 cups sugar (depending on tartness of rhubarb and your preference)
3/4 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup butter, room temperature
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Put rhubarb in a glass 9 X13 baking pan (not greased).
Sprinkle with salt.
Combine the flour, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Add butter and mix until crumbly.
Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the rhubarb.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Serve warm or cold.
