Rich Chocolate Cake
Ingredients You'll Need
2 sticks unsalted butter
8oz Ghirardelli chocolate (60% cacao)
4 eggs
1t/4 cups fine sugar
7 tablespoons al-purpose flour
1 cup Ghirardelli choc chips (dark)
Powdered/Confectioners sugar
Directions
Preheat oven 400*
Butter an 11" round baking pan (with removable bottom)
1 - Melt butter and chocolate together over double boiler or in microwave. Set aside to
cool slightly
2 -In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, sugar and flour using a manual whisk (it
combines very easily)
3 - Add the melted chocolate and butter to the egg mixture and combine with the
whisk. Fold in the chocolate chips •
4 - Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Set on wire rack to cool before unmolding. When completely cool cover with powdered
sugar using a sieve.
