RITA’S BEEF STROGONOFF

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lbs round steak, cut in pieces
  • 2 C stock
  • Salt
  • 1 lb mushrooms
  • Pepper
  • large onion (chopped)
  • 1 T flour
  • 1/2 C sour cream
  • 2 T butter

Directions

  • Brown flour in butter.
  • Work to a smooth paste.
  • Stir in stock gradually.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Add mushrooms.
  • Sear meat in butter with chopped onion.
  • When brown, put pieces of meat in sauce.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add sour cream.
  • Heat and serve.
