- Preparation Time: 4 to 8 hrs.
- 3T butter, 3c. thinly sliced onions, 2T flour, 1T sugar, 1t. salt, 1qt beef bouillion, 1/4c. red wine, 1c. Shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/2c. grated parmesan cheese, 4 slices of toasted french bread slices.
- Saute the onions in butter till golden brown. Stir in the flour, salt and sugar. In a crock pot add the beef broth and the wine. Now add the onion mixture to the crock pot. mix well. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hrs. or high for 2to 4 hrs. Pour into oven safe bowls top with toasted french bread and mozzarella cheese and melt cheese under broiler.
