Why I Love This Recipe

This woman is like a grandmother to me. She's lived next door for ever. This is one of her recipes that is in the local church's recipe book, published back in 1979.


Ingredients You'll Need

Cake:
1 box Pillsbury white cake mix
1 (10 oz.) package frozen strawberries, cut in halves while still frozen (set aside 1/2 for icing)
1 3 oz package strawberry jello
1/2 cup wesson oil
1/2 cup water
4 eggs

Icing:
1/2 cup softened butter
1 box powdered sugar
the other 1/2 of drained strawberries


Directions

Mix the cake ingredients well, except for strawberries. Add eggs, on at a time, beat well. Fold in 1/2 of the berries (not drained). Bake in 9 inch Reynolds Parchment Paper lined pan for 30 minutes



Beat Icing ingredients until fluffy
