2/3 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup cold water
2/3 cup sauerkraut, drained, rinsed and chopped
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together next 5 ingredients.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with water.
Fold in sauerkraut last.
Bake in greased 9 X 13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until done.
Cool and frost with chocolate frosting.
