  • 1 C. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 oz. margarine
  • 1 oz. sugar
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • Milk for glazing
  • Raisins, to taste


  • Sift flour and salt. Add raisins and cut in margarine to fine bread crumb stage. Add sugar. Mix to soft dough stage with milk. Roll on floured board and cut into rounds. Brush with milk. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • 3 T. strawberry jam
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • Blend until smooth and spread on warm scones.
