  • 1-1/2 C. flour
  • 2 oz. Crisco or margarine
  • 1 oz. sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • Raisins, to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • Grated orange peel


  • Grease cookie sheet. Cut Crisco into flour. Add sugar, salt and baking powder. Add raisins and orange peel. Beat egg and milk together. Add until it is biscuit consistency. Roll out on floured board and cut into approximately 12 rounds. Bake 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
