- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. evaporated milk
- 1 tbsp. water
- 1 1/2 c. shelled walnuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Put the sugar and cinnamon in a saucepan. Stir in evaporated milk diluted with water.
- Cook, stirring constantly, to the soft ball stage or 236 degrees on a candy thermometer.
- Remover from heat.
- Add nutmeats and vanilla.
- Stir until mixture can no longer be stirred. Turn out onto waxed paper and separate the nuts. Can be frozen.
