Sausage, Cannellini & Macaroni
1 tbl extra virgin olive oil
1/2 to 2/3 lbs sweet italian sausage
1/2 to 2/3 lbs hot italian sausage
3 cloves crushed garlic
1 small onion chopped
1 can (28-32 oz) chunky style crushed tomatoes
1 can cannellini beans, rinsed & drained
20 leaves fresh basil, torn
1 lb ziti rigati, cooked al dente
Medium/high heat, add oil & sausage.
Break meat up as it brown, add garlic & onion & cook 5 minutes stirring frequently.
Reduce to med/low add tomatoes & beans, simmer 2 or 3 minutes.
Remove pan from heat, fold in basil to wilt. Combine sausage mix w. macaroni & serve immediately w. grated parmagian.
