SAUSAGE GRAVY AND BISQUITS

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of country style bisquits
  • 2 pounds of bulk sausage
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 3 tablespoons of flour
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Put bisquits in oven (follow instructions on can). Brown sausage in a fry pan over medium heat. sprinkle flour in while stirring meat. Then add milk. Continue to stir over low to medium heat. Gravy will start to thicken. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour sausage gravy over hot bisquits.

Notes

One Christmas I made this recipe for my family and it has become a tradition every year since. I always knew how to make country gravy growing up but I just decided to add the sausage one year and it was a hit. It is a comfort food that is easy to make and store if you have any left over.
