I grew up in a family unfamiliar with mushrooms. But by now I can't imagine living without having some at least twice a week. As a vegetable, with eggs, in sauces and soups, with pasta. They get along with almost anything. This recipe of sauteed mushrooms is easy and doesn't take long.

  • 12 medium sized mushrooms
  • 3 bell peppers, green, red and yellow, deseeded and cut into thin slices
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon spicy soybean paste
  • a little sesame oil

  • 1 Blanch the mushrooms an cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok and saute the mushrooms untl golden brown.
  • 3 Remove from the oil and drain
  • 4 Heat a little oil in another wok and stir-fry the peppers briefly
  • 5 Add the mushrooms to the peppers and stir-fry together
  • 6 Add soy sauce and soybean paste to the ingredients and toss
  • 7 Drizzle with sesame oil and serve
