Sesame Snow Peas

Serves 2 | Prep Time | Cook Time

Ingredients

10 oz snow peas
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sesame seeds
Kosher salt


Directions:


Steam the snow peas however you would like to – over boiling water or with a couple tablespoons of water and covered in the microwave for about 3 minutes or until just tender. Drain any water, then toss the peas with the sesame oil, sesame seeds, and salt to taste.


Background:


This is an easy side dish that complements Asian and seafood entrées very nicely. The recipe emerged from me simply liking the ingredients and throwing them together.

I did something similar to this last night and it was very good. I sauteed garlic in the seame oil along with the pea pods and added a splash of soy sauce for the salt about half way through. Thnks for the inspiration. Karen
