SHRIMP SAGANAKI (GREEK)
Shrimp Saganaki (Greek)
INGREDIENTS
- 12 big shrimps, peeled and deveined
- 2 ripe tomatoes shredded
- 1 tbs tomatoe paste
- 2 tbs chives chopped
- 2 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 medium union chopped
- 1 hot red pepper chopped
- 1 ts chili pepper flakes
- 1 sweet green pepper chopped
- 1 c dry white whine
- 1/4 c olive oil
- 1/2 c chicken stock from cube
- 2-3 tbs lemon juice
- 1 c feta cheese crumbled
- salt , pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
In a deep frying pan saute union and garlic in the oil on medium heat ca 5 min, add chives and cook for another 5 min.
Add shrimps and whine and cook for 2 min more, add all other ingredients except feta cheese and cook on low heat (ca 10-15 min) till sauce thickens, add feta cheese and finish in 2 min.
Serve with lots of bread to dip and cold beer.
