- 1 cup water
- 2 cups sugar
- Combine water and sugar in a medium pot on high heat.
- Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat once the sugar dissolves and graininess disappears.
NotesThis is super simple but I always used to have to look up the recipe for simple syrup if I ever needed to make it. It's a key ingredient in my favorite frosting so I had to find the best ratio of water to sugar. This is just the right consistency for me!
