Sloppy Joes Sauce

Beef  Sandwich  Sweet 

• Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
• Servings: 4
• Preparation Time: 15 minutes
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 1/2 cup grated onion
• 1/2 cup grated celery
• 1/2 cup grated bell pepper
• 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
• 3/4 jar chili sauce
• 4 tablespoons ketchup
• 1/2 cup water
• 1 lb cooked crumbled ground beef

Cook and drain ground beef

Saute the onion,celery,bell pepper,and mushrooms until limp. Add the remaining ingredients and cook covered for 10 minutes

Add ground beef, bring sauce to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve on Potato Buns

Wanted to make it instead of buying canned. First it taste good,it is slightly sweet. Nice thickness to the sauce. I served it on Potato buns Nice addition to the sauce. The mushrooms add a nice favor.
