Why I Love This Recipe

You thought your slow cooker can only be used for savory dishes? Well, I use it for desserts too and I get wonderful results! This apple cranberry crisp is so easy to make and tastes great.

Ingredients You'll Need

3 apples
1 cup cranberries
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup rolled oats (fast cooking ones)
1 pinch salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup butter, softened

Peel, core and cut the apples in slices. Place the apple slices into the slow cooker along with the cranberries.

Mix remaining ingredients in a separate medium-sized bowl for the crisp. Sprinkle the mixture on top of the fruit inside the crockpot.

Cover the slow cooker with 4 or 5 paper towels and place a wooden spoon across the top of the crockpot and put the lid on top (that way, steam can escape).

Cook on HIGH for about 2 hours.
