SOMBRERO DIP

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 medium clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (7 oz each) or 2 cups Ortega green chili salsa
  • 1 can Ortega spicy refried beans (17 oz)
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1/2 cup grated Longhorn cheese (2 oz)
  • Garnish: 1/4 cup sliced olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • Tortilla chips

Directions

  • In large skillet, brown beef until crumbly. Drain and add onion and garlic.
  • Cook until onion is soft.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Cook until hot and bubbly.
  • Spoon into chafing dish.
  • Garnish with cheese, olive and onions.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.
