Why I Love This Recipe

This is an awesome cake for any occassion. You can use any flavorings to go with your base cake mix. It carves well when designing 3D cakes. It is also very moist. I use this recipe in all my specialty orders using different combinations of cake and fillings. I believe that I got this recipe off of recipezaar.com


Ingredients You'll Need

2 (18oz.) boxes of cake mix(Betty Crocker or Pillsbury) [you choice of flavor]
2 cups of all purpose flour
2 cups of granulated sugar
1&1/2 tsp salt
2 2/3 cups water
2 tsp flavoring to compliment you cake choice
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cups sour cream
8 large egg whites


Directions

Place all dry ingredients in the large mixing bowl and stir with the wisk


Add remaining ingredients and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes


Pour into greased and floured cake pans,fill each pan a little over 1/2 full


Bake @ 325 until cake tests done


Baking times vary according to size and depth of pans


This recipe can be halved to make two 7" rounds
