Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cake
6 tablespoons soft butter
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon sugar
1½ cup unsifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
1 package (6 ounces) semi sweet chocolate chips
Mix butter with 1 cup sugar until blended. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in flour with soda, baking powder, and cinnamon. Blend into creamed mixture. Mix in sour cream and half of the chocolate chips. Pour into greased and floured 8x8 square baking dish. Scatter chocolate chips on top and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
