SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE
Sour Cream Coffee Cake
My mom has been making this coffee cake for as long as I can remember.
INGREDIENTS
- Batter:
- 1/2 C butter
- 1 C sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 C sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 C flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Topping/Filling:
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 3/4 C walnuts
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine butter, sugar, eggs and sour cream.
Mix well.
Add remaining batter ingredients.
Mix well.
In a separate small bowl, mix all topping/filling ingredients.
Pour 1/2 of batter into greased tube pan and sprinkle with 1/2 topping.
Add remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining topping.
Bake 40 - 45 minutes at 350°F
