Sour Cream Cookies with Raisins
1/2 cup softened butter or margarine
1 cup light brown sugar -- firmly packed
2 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in egg.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, beating after each addition until smooth.
Stir in raisins and chopped pecans or walnuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes.
