- 1 pound dry lima beans
- 2 quarts water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup bacon drippings
- 1 Tbsp Tony's seasoning
- Look the beans (means remove any rocks, etc). Soak the beans overnight in water.
- After soaking, drain, Cover with fresh water and add bacon dripping and simmer. When the beans are almost tender add the salt, pepper and Tony's. Continue cooking until they are tender, but not mushy. About 1 - 1-1/2 hours to cook.
