My Mom has always made it for us growing up! I always make two pies one for now and one to freeze for later!


  • A whole package of pasta
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • Half an onion (to taste)
  • Garlic
  • Mozzarella (I use skim)
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Sauce
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Butter half a stick
  • 2 eggs
  • Parsley


  • Boil water
  • Season meat with onion, garlic, spices
  • Brown meat/cook pasta
  • Add 2 eggs, half a stick of butter and parm cheese to pasta
  • Put spagetti into pie molds, making a "crust" with pasta
  • Add the meat first (I sometimes do one half vegitarian and add roasted red peppers)
  • Put the sauce on top of the meat, then add ricotta cheese, then add mozzarella cheese.
  • Put one pie in the the oven at 350 for 30-45 mins, the pasta on crust should be brown. If you take it out too soon the pasta won't stick together like a pie!! Freeze the other pie for another day :)
