SPAGHETTI & MEATBALLS TOMATO SAUCE
- Tomato Sauce:
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 (28-ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes, drained and crushed by hand, liquid reserved
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn into pieces
