Spaghetti: 500gr (that is a little bit more than an American pound)
Clams: 1 to 1.5 kg
garlic: 3-4 cloves
parsley: to taste
Scallion: 2, chopped
cherry tomatoes: 5-6, chopped
olive oil: 1 cup
Pepper and salt
Rinse the clams under cold water, throw the ones away that won`t close.
Heat the olive oil in a big pot, add garlic and chili and after a little while the clams. Mix.
Add a glass of dry white wine. Let the clams simmer for a couple of minutes, then add the chopped tomatoes and chpped scallion and let it simmer for 2-3 more minutes. Sprinkle parsley on top of it.
To prepare the vongole (clams) will take approx. 20 minutes.
During that time the Spaghetti have to be ready as well:
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add the spaghetti and cook them until tender but still firm to bite.
Drain the Spaghetti and mix with the clams. Add Salt and pepper to taste.
Note: throw the clams that are still closed after cooking away!

This is a recipe I enjoy preparing for friends. It is easy to make, tastes delicious and is finished in nearly no time. A light dry white wine goes well with it.
