Spice Cake
This is a cake recipe from my great grandmother. Each and every step. This is my favorite kind of cake. I hope you enjoy it.

PrintINGREDIENTS
- 2/3cup sugar
- ¼cup shortening
- ¼tsp salt
- 1tsp vanilla
- 1egg
- 1½cups flour
- ½cup milk
- 2tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½tsp nutmeg
- ¼tsp cloves
- ½cup raisins(dredged in 2Tsp flour)
DIRECTIONS
Cream shortening and sugar. Add unbeaten egg. Add vanilla, beat thoroughly. Sift flour, measure, and sift with salt and baking powder. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and raisins. Pour into well greased loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven at 375 degrees for 35min.
