- 1 Box Shells & Cheese
- 1 roll pork breakfast sausage (16oz)
- 1 can diced tomatos w/ green chili's (spicy or Hot)
- 1 small can sliced mushrooms
- Prepare shells & cheese according to the box. At the same time, break up the pork sausage in a pan and brown to desired done-ness (I like it a little crispy). Drain excess grease from the pan, and add sausage to the mac & cheese. Add the can of tomatos & chilis and the can of mushrooms, mix well. Heat for 3-4 minutes on the stove on low/medium & serve. Serves 4.
NotesI first thought of this recipe when i made made a casserole that was similar in ingredients but took quite a bit longer to make. This is the easier way; quick and dirty, if you will. But it tastes great. It is definitely one of the comfort foods to make for my husband and I.
