SPICY THAI BASIL BEEF

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef in strips
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • *coat beef in cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce (Tiparos or Rufina brand)
  • 3 tablespoons sliced white onion
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoons chopped Thai basil
  • 3 tablespoons sliced red & green bell pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • garlic salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth

Directions

  • in pan, heat cooking oil and saute garlic and onions
  • stir fry beef coated with cornstarch
  • add veggies and basil
  • add sauces
  • add beef stock and boil 5-10 minutes
  • serve over steamed rice

Notes

Asian cuisine does not need to be difficult to prepare. Once you have the basic asian pantry, you can make practically anything your favorite asian restaurant offers!
