Spicy Turkey Burgers
1 bunch scallions, finely chopped
1 jalapeno, de-seeded and finely chopped
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 lb extra lean ground turkey
Cheese Slices of your choice (pepperjack or swiss are tasty)
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Form into burger patties.
Preheat grill. Grill patties over direct medium-high heat, about 5 minutes each side.
Lift grill cover and lightly toast burger buns. Lay slices of cheese on patties and grill until melted.
Plate burgers and serve.
