Steaks with blue cheese
4 steaks (approx 8 ounces each)
1 garlic clove, pressed or chopped finely
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper (fine if you use black)
4 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons blue cheese, crumbled
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 tablespoon butter
Combine cream cheese, blue cheese, onion, and pepper in a bowl and set aside.
Rub both sides of the steaks with garlic, salt, and pepper. Put butter in large saucepan and cook steaks for approx 6-8 minutes for medium steaks (adjust for doneness accordingly)
You can also broil steaks in oven for about 15 minutes for medium doneness. Be sure to turn once during the cooking time about halfway through.
Top each steak with an equal amount of cheese topping. Broil for 5 minutes, or until topping starts to melt.
