BackstoryThis recipe is really called "Hawaiian Chicken" but we always called it "Sticky Chicken" as kids. When finished, there is a nice, sticky glaze coating the chicken. Yum!
- scant 1/4 cup oil
- 2 T. vinegar
- 3 heaping T. brown sugar
- 1/2 cup catsup
- 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. garlic
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 T. parsley flakes
- scant 1/4 cup water
- Mix all ingredients in skillet; add chicken. Cook over medium heat.
- When sauce starts to reduce, turn down heat and cook until chicken is done: Approx. 25 minutes for boneless and 45-60 min. for bone-in.
- NOTE: For boneless chicken, start sauce first, as cooking time is shorter
