- 350 gms pork tenderlion
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1cup water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup kecap manis
- 7 cm stick of cinnamon
- 3 star anise
- 1can baby corn
- handful Sugar snap peas
- Cut pork into 1/4 inche slices stir fry pork in oil. Put pork into a saucepan with the cinnamon and whole star anise and water,brown sugar and kecap manis. Bring to boil and simmer with lid on for 15 minutes.
- Remove lid and simmer for another 15 minutes until sauce is thick, stirring often. Steam the vegetables for 2 to 3 minutes until crisp tender. Stir pork and vegetables together and serve with rice.
NotesThis recipe is adapted from the Good Taste magazine. Kecap manis is Indonesion Soy sauce.
