Stove top potatoes
2 1/5 cups sweet potatoes peeled and sliced
1/2 teaspoon orange zest
1/3 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
Bring 2" of water to boiling in a large skillet.
Add potatoes and reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain well.
For the sauce, combine orange zest, orange juice, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and allspice.
Pour over the cooked potatoes in the skillet. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes
