Why I Love This Recipe
Stovetop popcorn is almost as quick as microwave popcorn, arguably healthier, and certainly much more rewarding.
Ingredients You'll Need
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
2 Tablespoons grapeseed oil
Olive oil spray
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
Find a medium-large pot with a lid. Heat the grapeseed oil in the pot on high heat. Add a few test kernels and wait until they pop.
Now that the pot is hot enough, add the remaining kernels to the pot and cover. Once the next kernels begin to pop, continuously shake the pot over the stove to avoid burning any kernels. Remove from heat once the popping subsides.
Pour a layer of the popcorn into a large bowl. Spray with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and Italian seasoning. Continue to add layers of popcorn to the bowl and repeat the above step until all popcorn is coated with seasoning.
