STRAWBERRY - BRANDY SAUCE

Ingredients

  • 5 cups quartered fresh strawberries
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 tablespoons brandy
  • 2 teaspoons grated lime rind

Directions

  • 1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium bowl and stir gently. Let stand 20 minutes.
  • 2. Place half of strawberry mixture and lime rind in a blender; cover and process until smooth. Add to remaining strawberry mixture, stir well. Cover and chill. Yield 3 cups.

Notes

The following dessert sauce can be served over ice cream or angel food cake.
