Strawberry Jam

  • Cooking Time: 10-20 min
  • Servings: 8 half pints
  • Preparation Time: 10min
  • 4lbs of strawberries (5c crushed)
  • 7 cups sugar
  • 1 box pectin

DIRECTIONS

hull strawberries


fill water bath and pre-heat on medium heat


crush the strawberried in layers to get 5 cups crushed


place in big stock pot


measure out sugar into a seperate bowl


stir pectin in strawberries quickly


turn heat on to high and bring to boil stirring constantly


Add sugar quickly and stir constantly until it boils


boil for 1 min


remove from heat and skim off any foam


ladle in jars process 10 min
