STRAWBERRY PRETZEL DESSERT

Ingredients

  • •Crust:
  • •2 cups crushed pretzels
  • •3/4 cup melted butter
  • •3 tbsp sugar
  • •• Mix crushed pretzels, sugar and butter
  • •• Press into a 9x13-inch glass dish
  • •• Bake at 400 degrees F. for 8 minutes
  • •• Cool
  • •Filling: Sometimes I double this (only if you like a thick cream layer).
  • •1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • •1 cup sugar
  • •1 12 oz package Cool Whip, thawed
  • •• Mix together cream cheese and sugar until smooth
  • •• Fold in Cool Whip
  • •• Spread on top of cooled crust
  • •Topping :
  • •1 large box strawberry gelatin
  • •2 16 oz package frozen strawberries with syrup
  • •2 cups boiling water
  • •1 small can crushed pineapple, drained

Directions

  • 1.• Dissolve gelatin in boiling water
  • 2.• Add frozen strawberries -- the hot water will thaw them
  • 3.• stir in pineapples
  • 4.• Pour mixture onto cream cheese layer
  • 5.• Refrigerate for 2 hours

Notes

This is my daughters favorite dessert. This is a little different than most of the recipes. It has an addition of pineapple in the jello.
