Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

Ingredients

1 double pie crust
4 cups diced fresh (or frozen) rhubarb
2 cups sliced strawberries
1 1/3 cups sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 box strawberry jello
1/2 tsp grated orange peel
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg


Mix everything together making sure fruit is coated.


Put mix in the pie crust in the pie pan.


Place 2 tablespoons of butter on top of fruit filling.


Put on the top crust.


Cut holes in the top of the crust.


Bake at 350 until crust is golden and filling is bubbly about 35 minutes


NOTE: For a golden top crust brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar.


Cover edges with foil to prevent the edges from browning.
