STUFFED SHELLS WITH PASTA SAUCE

Ingredients

  • * 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • * 1/2 lb. Italian sausage, ground
  • * 4 oz. cream cheese
  • * 12 jumbo shells
  • * 1 Tbl. oil
  • * 1/2 med. onion, chopped
  • * 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
  • * 1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms, drained
  • * 1 jar (14 oz.) pasta sauce (red)
  • * 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • * 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • * 1/2 cup shredded cheese

Directions

  • 1. Slightly brown ground beef and Italian sausage
  • 2. Drain and cool
  • 3. Mix in cream cheese (works best when mixing with your hands)
  • 4. Set aside
  • 5. Saute onions and peppers in oil
  • 6. Add mushrooms, pasta sauce, garlic and Italian seasonings
  • 7. Spray an 8 x 8 baking dish with non-stick spray
  • 8. Stuff shells with meat mixture
  • 9. Pour sauce evenly over shells
  • 10. Sprinkle with shredded cheese
  • 11. Bake 350 degrees 20 minutes

I created this dish by pulling from 2 different recipes. It turned out great.
