Why I Love This Recipe

Cookie Exchange 1992 - Always looking for something pretty and different to add to our cookie platters.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

DIP:
4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
2 Tablespoons butter
1 Tablespoon milk
Colored sprinkles

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease baking sheet. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar with mixer. Beat in egg and yolk, one at a time. Stir in vanilla extract. In medium bowl, stir flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture until combined. Spoon the dough into pastry bag fitted with large rosette or into a ziplock bag with opening snipped off one corner. Squeeze the dough into 2-inch logs onto cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes, until just brown.

Cook on rack.

Melt chocolate on double-boiler or microwave - stir in milk and butter. Dip both ends of cookie in chocolate then sprinkles.

Let cool.
