Why I Love This Recipe

My mom and I love to bake on the holidays and this is one of our favorites


Ingredients You'll Need

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
5 1/2 cups flour


Directions

Cook at 375 degrees.


I think the sour cream is the secret ingredient, makes them soft and fluffy. Also only cook them for 7-8 minutes, they will not look done at all, but they are. Pull them out of the oven and let them sit for a few minutes then move them to a cooling rack.




Also, with the dough, I stuck it in the fridge for a good 2 hours before rolling out the dough. Also I broke the dough up and put it in sections, sticking the extra back in the freezer to keep it chilled.



When I rolled out the cookies, I make them thick- 1/4 inch almost, seems like a lot, but they came out really fluffy.
