Why I Love This Recipe

Okay, so I am always searching for fast AND delicious. Go figure. I actually came up with this one on a complete whim....and how delicious the taste test was.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 beaten egg
1 and 1/2 cups of melted Vanilla Bean (or Dulce De Leche) ice cream (brand of your choice)
bread slices (texas toast-size or regular)
Shake on cinnamon and sugar - or your own special spice mix. (I like nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon and sugar.)

Directions

Add 1 beaten egg to 1 and 1/2 cups of melted Vanilla Bean (or Dulce De Leche) ice cream (brand of your choice). Mix well.

Dip in bread slices (texas toast-size or regular). Let soak for a few seconds, then remove from liquid letting excess drip off.

Place soaked bread slices in a warmed skillet with melted butter. Cook til just brown on both sides.

Shake on cinnamon and sugar - or your own special spice mix. (I like nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon and sugar.)

Serve!!

By experimenting with different melted ice creams, you can come up with your own favorite (and unique) french toast ideas.

For added deliciousness - open an already cooked piece of Texas-size toast to form a pocket. Add in a few strawberries, maybe a little cream, then close back up. Treat your special French Toast with confectioner's (powdered) sugar and just a touch of whipped cream. YUM!!!!
